One of the most important festival of our human culture is Rakshabandhan.
This rakhi is made with white and golden pearls. And is presented along with red tilak and chawal and chocolates which are the essentials for the rakhi occasion. And Yess for omen(Shagun) we keep envelopes which is considered as a good sign for blessing.

I am a girl and I made this rakhi for my elder sister using ribbon, clay, some old beads and stickers because at our family we don’t believe that it is only a brother’s job to ‘protect’ his sister. Rakha bandhan is a bond of love and whether it be brothers or sisters they can all protect and care for each – other alike.

I have used threads , some golden Pearl’s , some small silver stones , scissor and fevicol in this rakhi to symbolize that our bond always remains strong like threads that binds two souls in a bond of joy forever shine like pearls and unbreakable like stone…..

Raksha Bandhan is celebrated throughout the country to celebrate this pure bond between siblings. Here in Pahal Design Institute we’ve got the opportunity to participate in this Rakhi competition and I’ve made this colourful Rakhi with a ribbon, used craft paper, old bindis and craft material leaves along with diamond shaped mirror with lots of efforts and love for my brother who absolutely loved seeing it on his wrist. Though we always fight like cats and dogs, keep teasing each other but he’s always been my partner in crime, and my best friend when it comes to convincing our parents or listening to each other’s nonsense stuff. This dramatic, colourful and glowing Rakhi perfectly describes the unique relationship shared by me n my bhai. Name:- ishika arora

My brother is a biker and he is extremely fond of leather products so I made a leather rakhi for him using vegan leather and pearls. I took a contemporary view on traditional rakhis and keeping in mind the Hindu festival used 100% vegan leather.

I made this rakhi, with the help of matchsticks, to give a floral design, and as we all know that that in Hindu’s festives for showing goodness and purity red and yellow colour is used, so taking this concept i also made the red and yellow furry decorating material with the help of threads,which highlights my rakhi and I used oxidised little pearls and last but not least in the centre i use a beautiful reflective stone.

My sister is my role model and she is always there for me, motivates me to do better in life and fulfills all the responsibilities of a brother. She is my sister as well as my brother. My sister’s favourite color is green so i made her a green colored raakhi using green threads, some stones and beautiful white pearls. I used the things which were already available here at my home to celebrate our “lockdown wala rakhi”

I have made this rakhi by the help of mould it clay , nd used Jewellry wires to make hooks ! I have applied mod podge to make it waterproof . The embroidery work is done by self made ceremic tubes ! I was made lotus on the rakhi as lotus is the symbol of purity , symbol of divine perfection , also most liked by goddess lami who shower blessing for good Heath nd prosperity! All the bright colors are been used to symbolise “shine bright “ even when surrounding are dark nd dull ! 🙂🙂😇😇

My Rakhi represents Corona as we all can’t stop thinking about it. As this pandemic has shutdown everything around us. But one positive outcome we can say is that it gives us a lot of family time together…
So this Rakhi I wish all of us to be strong, healthy and safe.

I made this rakhi for my sister… being a fashion design aspirant, she always appreciate the hand woven tradition of the Indian culture..I used embroidery thread and wool and beautifully weaved intricate crotchet flower.. Raksha Bandhan also called rakhi ,is the Hindu festival that celebrates brotherhood and love . The word Raksha means protection ,whilst bandhan means tie .
In our culture it is believed that when a women ties a rakhi around the hand of man it becomes obligatory for him to honour his religious duty and also protect her .

This year because of the pandemic,I could not tie rakhi to my brother but it didn’t stop me from celebrating the festival. I tied rakhi to my sister and celebrated the festival because it’s not about a brother protecting his sister but about siblings protecting each other and being there for each other always!

I used a waste scrap paper on which the stones of different colours and shapes are sticking and then take a thread and stick it on the backside so that it can gave the shape of Rakhi.I made this rakhi from
those waste materials that I found in my home.I did my best efforts to make this rakhi more impressive .

My Rakshabandhan story!
Rakshabandhan is a very special occasion that strengthens the intimate bonding between a brother and a sister.. So, to make this day more special , I participated in the ” Hand made rakhi competition” organised by the Pahal institute.
In this lockdown time, with little resources , i made a rakhi using a few papers , ear buds, stones and a satin ribbon.
My brother and I may fight and argue together but this rakhi is a gesture of pure love for my brother and is filled with lots of love and a promise to always stick by his side.😊🌼

My brother is an artist and he is extremely interested in drawing and colouring.He is fond of using colourful products so, I thought to make colourful rakhi using pearis and colourful threads which shows his emotions such as….. Red which means love , Orange shows his confidence, Yellow shows his creativity, Blue shows that he is responsible, trusting, and peaceful , Maroon shows his strength and Purple shows he is noble

Since my sister is the only sibling I have…I have made this for my sister, with whole heart and unlimited love.
So the rakhi is made up of yellow and red thread,mauli,which is considered very sacred for Hindus. It’s believed that this thread protects us. The base is made of raw red net available at home.It has five petals at the back and 3 at front which when summed makes her b’day month 5+3=8 and the three(silver) hidden behind the front petals(blue) when further added makes my b’day month 5+3+3= 11;she being elder protects me most of the times . Then there is a pom pom that adds to the beauty of rakhi.

I have made 2 rakhi obe for my sweet brother and another one for my sweet bhabhi. 1.My rakhi is made up of three materials stone, fur and glitter foam

2.My rakhi is made for my bhabhi she is my friend my sister everything it is made up of my mom’bangle which i attached 4 bangle and tied it with orange thread some glitter foam and stones.

I made this rakhi using matchsticks. Each head of matchstick represents each state of india and there are group of 3 matchsticks,total 8 in number which represents the 8 union territories and also I used yellow colour which represents relationship of happiness and green colour which represents health which we wish for everyone. Also it is comfortable to wear as the base of this rakhi is made up of soft cloth so that it wont hurt.

In Indian tradition, the frangible thread of rakhi is considered even stronger than an iron chain as it strongly binds a brothers and a sisters in the circumference of mutual love and trust. And my brother is younger than me so here a cute smile for him.❤️

This year due to pandemic we all are unable to go market to buy rakhi. So I thought to make at home. I’ve made this rakhi with some limited materials available at home. Used thread for base, cloth for making flower and for decoration I wasn’t having fancy materials so I used wire and some pearl head pins.Amrita Priya

I have made Lord Ganesha in the centre of the rakhi to give our relation a new start where we create a lot of good new memories as Lord Ganesha is worshipped before beginning of every puja so that everything remains smooth. And I have used different other colors to symbolise that relation b/w me and and my sister remains colorful and full of good vibes.

And this is my entry for the rakhi making competition.
My rakhi is flower themed, the concentric blooming flowers represent the love between me and my sister, that like a flower would grow stronger, sweeter with each passing year. My rakhi is made using different paper folding techniques. Also, since i am aspiring to be a designer, i wanted to add a little innovative twist to my rakhi, therefore it is not just a rakhi but also like a little card, that opens and has my sister’s picture and a little note that i wrote for her.

I used a circle as to make the middle pendel of rakhi embedded it with clay and golden stones and with the help of loops attached the pearls to it. Also, no sibling on this Green Ball is perfect , so is this band . It’s all about accepting each other and helping in the promotion of mutual growth Prayers and wishes🥳

This Rakhi made with quilling strips which I created at home .for thread I use moli and to decorate with some waste stones .I use my old jewellery which is not use full for me .

NIFT final result for MDes, MFM and MFTech course admissions was declared on July 16, 2020. Aspirants could check their final results for Master’s programmes by providing their login credentials on the official website of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). The final merit list for NIFT admissions 2020 is released on the official website (https://nift.ac.in/) of the design school. NIFT results are released in the form of a scorecard containing subject-wise marks, All India Rank (AIR) and category rank.

Earlier, NIFT final result for BDes admissions was declared on June 25. NIFT written exam result 2020 for BDes, MDes, MFTech, and MFM courses was declared on March 13. Candidates could check NIFT exam result for their respective course on the official website of the institute by providing any twodetails from their roll number, application numberand date of birth.

This year, due to COVID-19 outbreak, National Institute of Fashion Technology has made major changes in its admission process. The Situation Test for NIFT BDes admissions 2020 was cancelled and admission in the programme was offered based on an aspirant’s performance in NIFT CAT and GAT exam only. Similarly, Group Discussion round was cancelled for MDes, MFM and MFTech course admissions 2020.

Again Pahal Design has shown excellence in NIFT Masters result 2020 15 students in NIFT Top 50 for different courses of Masters Program. More than 100 students are being selected for NIFT Final result of Master Program.

Radhika Ahuja from MFM General Category Got AIR 2 with total 80 marks and she graduated from DU in English literature. Durga Chaurasia from MFT has AIR 6 in General Category and Shreya from M Des AIR 2 category Rank with total marks 72.92.
